FEA of Rotating Structure
The rotating frame was starting from the rest position, and accelerating to a speed of 10 rpm in a short time frame. This created angular acceleration contributing to forces and Stresses.
Once operation, the frame continuously rotated for hours at the same speed. Even though speed was not racking up, the effect of centrifugal acceleration remained in the system. Hence analysis was done at this rotational velocity.
Further to that, there was an imbalance of weight which in the rotating motion was causing stress irregularities. This imbalance was corrected and design was optimized
